“Honor mom by helping families in need”

FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center invites the community to celebrate Mom at its 7th annual Mothers are Jewels Luncheon Thursday, April 19 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at The Overlook in Atascocita.
The highlight of the luncheon will be the special stories shared by this year’s guest speakers: Twila Carter, executive director of the Astros Foundation, Sam Shrade, owner of DNA Studios, and Tamara Paul, partner with Currin, Wuest, Mielke, Paul and Knapp. Tickets are $65 per person.
There will be a special jewelry and designer handbags sale and silent auction as well as a raffle to win roundtrip tickets on United Airlines.
Attending this luncheon will help FamilyTime provide a safe haven for women and children escaping dangerous situations. Guests will also have an opportunity to purchase a personalized brick that will be placed at the shelter and participate in the new shelter task force capital campaign. In 2017, FamilyTime provided more than 600 women, children and men with emergency shelter services, provided 3,970 sessions of counseling to victims of abuse and other violent crimes, and 17,285 calls were answered on the 24-hour crisis hotline.
