Thomas Markle Jewelers opened their doors for a wine tasting presented by Ed Aulerowner of Fall Creek Vineyards near Lake Buchanan in the Texas Hill Country. It wouldn’t be Fourth of July without the fun and fabulous celebration at Alspaugh’s Ace Hardware in Kingwood. Every year Rick and Dorothy Alspaugh and their team toss a great party to thank their customers from throughout the year, and this one is Saturday, July 3. It’s great brisket barbeque, cooked overnight by Rick and his professional cooking crew of experienced volunteers. The food line opens at 6:00, and dancing is from 7 – 11:00. Coolers and lawn chairs are welcome. It’s a wonderful night of family and neighborly fun. Donations will be accepted on behalf of FamilyTime. Earlier in the day join the parade! Floats, trucks and trailers will gather at Creekwood Middle School at 8 am, and then after the judging, will make their way, around 10 am, down West Lake Houston Parkway and then to Kingwood High School. Wear your red, white and blue, and join in the celebration of our nation’s freedom!
